While developing projects, she commits completely. She is reliable and friendly and is an excellent addition to any team. Although not tasked with an official leadership role, she has stepped in with both positive perspective and energy to motivate and focus the other Consultants and the research lab she supports. Her ability to investigate creative solutions, engage others in a project, provide resources when asked and when she sees a need has resulted in an engaged and informed team of Consultants and research lab members. I have come to deeply appreciate and rely on her insight and perceptions.

Kaylee has demonstrated her strength of character to me on many occasions throughout her life. Kaylee is a student in the North Union Local School District. I have the privilege of being a member of the North Union Board of Education. In the Spring of 2019 North Union adopted a Strategic Plan which has become a pillar of our district and a tool that our personnel use daily to improve the educational experience for our students. When developing this plan, the school sought input from many stakeholders in our district, including some students we believed could contribute to the process. Kaylee was one the students selected for this task and she contributed a great deal to our plan. Many of the students in the group were intimidated by both the size and the makeup of the group, which in addition to the students consisted of our entire administration team, school board, selected teachers, and local community leaders. Kaylee was very much at ease in this setting, and became a vital member of the group. The other members of the team came to genuinely value her contributions and her unique perspective on how to best prepare our students for success. It would have been easy for Kaylee to sit back and watch the process unfold but, consistent with her strength of character, she did not choose the path of least resistance. As a result, she made a positive difference in her school and community at large.

From the day Kaylee asked to join our team, she has demonstrated high aptitute and has been one of the most consistently reliable, humble and enthusiastic volunteers on this team. Not only is she a great team-player and consistently provides high quality output, but she asks very insightful questions and provides thought-provoking ideas.
